Upper Ottawa Valley OPP have released the full results of the annual Festive RIDE Campaign.

The over month-long campaign kicked off on November 24th and ran until January 2nd, with 214 RIDE checks being conducted by the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP Detachment. According to police four people are now facing impaired driving charges following the campaign, while two license suspensions were handed out.

Across Ontario, 587 drivers were charged with impaired driving during the campaign on provincially maintained roadways.

The OPP is reminding motorists that RIDE campaigns run all throughout the year and not just during holidays.
