Driver of logging truck facing charge after sliding into ditch and spilling load of logs near Killaloe

The driver of a logging truck will face a careless driving charge after a recent collision. 

Ontario Provincial Police from Killaloe say on April 18, just before 3:00 p.m., police responded to a collision involving a logging truck on Round Lake Road near Mourning Dove Lane, in the Township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards. 

OPP say an investigation has revealed the logging truck slid into the ditch spilling the load of logs.  

A heavy tow was required to help with the collision. 

As a result of the investigation, a 25 -year-old driver from Athens was charged with careless driving, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.  

 

There were no injuries reported. 

 

A Provincial Offences Act notice was issued.
