The Madawaska Valley Township has officially submitted a request to extend their Ontario Trillium Foundation Funding, and now must wait.
The extension would be two months, and would allow the township more time to use funding on the Madawaska Valley Fitness Centre. The township was given the final installment of the grant worth $35,000 in September.
Love says she hopes to have a confirmed answer regarding the extension by Wednesday so it can be announced at the regular council meeting.
