OPP Trying To Cut Down On Unintentional 911 Calls
After over 2000 911 pocket dials in 2016, the OPP is cracking down on unintentional 9-11 calls.
The OPP released a social media campaign Thursday reminding residents to be careful about unintentional pocket dial calls, and what they should do if it happens.
The OPP says that with every unintentional call received, precious seconds may be taken away from somebody who really needs help.
Some tips to avoid accidental 9-11 calls include using a keypad lock feature, and turning off the 9-11 auto dial on your phone.
