The Killaloe OPP says if you’re taking your boat out onto the water this long weekend to be cautious.
Constable Catharine Yarmel says the recent flooding has washed debris into the lakes and river systems as-well-as hidden docks just under the surface.
She says the OPP’s marine unit may be out on patrol this weekend as well.
Police are asking you to make sure you have proper safety equipment such as life jackets aboard, to navigate safely in shallow areas and not to drink while on the water.
