Madawaska Valley Library in Barry’s Bay wants people to know that there’s still time to register their team for Trivia night this upcoming Friday May 3.

The event will be held at the Paul J Yakabuski Arena. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and trivia starts at 7 p.m.  Sean Conway is returning as the host.

According to the library there will be a broad range of questions for everyone to enjoy and they encourage everyone to enter saying, “It’s a fun night out with family, friends and co-workers and some friendly competition.”

Teams of six can sign up but they encourage individuals to join as well, saying they will help everyone to find a team.

The township will run a cash bar and there will be a canteen. There will also be prizes donated by local businesses.

Proceeds from the trivia night will support programs and services at the Barry’s Bay library, such as summer programs for children.

The library says they are planning a full summer of activities, including story time in the park, a garden club for children, and each week will feature, “meet a community star”.

Last year’s Trivia Night winners were ‘the Rural Routes’ and according to CEO Natalie Barrington they are ‘the team to beat’.

E-transfers are accepted for sign up. The cost is $75 per team of six.

People can visit the library, email [email protected] or call 613-756-2000 for more information.
