Flooding of Old Killaloe Mill Raising Concerns

The mill in the old downtown of Killaloe remains flooded as rains over the weekend didn’t help matters.

Water from Brennan’s Creek was seen flowing through the historic site as washouts and beaver dam collapses have been reported in the area.

Mayor Janice Visneskie-Moore says the township will be assessing the damage once the water has receded.

The mill is well over 100 years old and a big part of Killaloe’s history, at one point it was even used to generate electricity on the provincial grid.
