Kids must have the luck of the Irish because, this year, St. Patrick’s Day won’t be on a school day. Friday, March 17 falls on the last weekday of March Break.
So, the Township of Madawaska Valley has a party planned. Recreation coordinator Hannah Gutoskie explains.
“Friday, St. Patrick’s Day, at 10 a.m. at the Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre, we’re going to have a kids’ St. Patrick’s Day Party. We’re going to have crafts. We’re going to have a scavenger hunt. And we are having Dexter and Serena come out. They’re a music group that plays fiddle, piano and traditional media, so we’re looking forward to that.”
The event is free; it’s one of several events the municipality is running for kids over March Break. More details on Madawaska Valley March Break activities can be found here.
