Fire Department South Hall receives $1,000 donation from CO Blitz organizers

The Madawaska Valley Fire Department has been recognized for the help and support of a major event this year.

The Combermere Recreation Committee has donated $1,000 to the South Branch of the department for their help and support of CO Blitz. The Committee presented the cheque at the Fire Department South Branch. The event took place over the long weekend and was the first CO Blitz in two years.

Organizers say that around 850 people attended the event. Profits will be put towards improvements to the Combermere Rink.
