With more and more motorcycles going through the county, local tourism associations are looking to offer more.
The Ottawa Valley Tourism Association (OVTA) says they are partnering with the Ontario Highlands Tourism Organization to offer more adventure riding routes. These routes will be an offshoot of the Ride the Highlands motorcycle marketing program, which allows riders a chance to see parts of the region via bike.
The OVTA says there are currently no destinations in Southern or Eastern Ontario that provides these routes, and they want to take advantage of the market through the Ottawa Valley. They say adventure riding is a growing industry, and it will offer a chance for riders to enjoy what the Ottawa Valley has to offer.
Routes are expected to be designed some time next year.
