St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation looking for Board of Director applicants

The group that raises money to support local healthcare is looking for people to help guide its operations.

The St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation is recruiting applicants for its Board of Directors. Board members are responsible for the control and governance of the Foundation, and 10 of them will be elected in June to serve two-year terms.

The Foundation says its ideal candidates should support delivering exceptional healthcare to those who need it in the community. They also say those who are able to build relationships and network in a team environment are ideal. Previous fundraising, not-for-profit, legal and leadership experience is also a plus. Members should also be able to attend two-hour bimonthly Board and committee meetings, as well as attend fundraising events.

Applications must be mailed to Board Chair Karen Tierney at 7 St. Francis Memorial Drive, Barry’s Bay ON K0J 1B0, or emailed to office@sfvhfoundation.com. Applications must be in by May 1st.
