The man accused of murdering Dan Pietersma in June of 2013 will stand trial early in the new year.
Along with the second degree murder charge, Brian Goddard also faces two counts of attempted murder and one count of assault with a weapon stemming from the attack.
Pietersma’s wife Sharlene received serious injuries in the attack as well as a 17-year-old in a nearby home.
Jury selection begins January 19th and the trial will get under way the next day.
