OPP: Never Assume When Around Frozen Lakes

It’s never safe to go out on a frozen body of water alone.

That’s the message from OPP Constable Shawn Peever, who says you should always have someone knowledgeable with you.

Peever also says you should never assume that ice is safe, especially with spring coming.

Peever also says if you see someone in the water, you should call 911 as soon as you can.
