Thunder, lightning, and hail could be on the way in Barry’s Bay

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Barry’s Bay area.

The weather agency is calling for thunderstorms to touch down in the area throughout this evening, which could produce strong winds, lightning, and hail.

Drivers are also being urged to be cautious, because the heavy rain could make it hard to see and create poor driving conditions.

The special weather statement is in effect for Barry’s Bay, Killaloe, Petawawa, Pembroke, Cobden, Renfrew, Arnprior, and Calabogie.
