While Renfrew County was spared the brunt of last night’s freezing rain in eastern Ontario, road conditions could still be icy this morning.
A special weather statement for the region was issued yesterday afternoon before being upgraded to a freezing drizzle advisory.
The OPP says conditions are ideal for the development of black ice on roads this morning.
Hastings and other neighbouring counties had anywhere from two-to-five centimeters of freezing rain overnight.
Areas like Combermere and Palmer Rapids closer to the county border may see more ice build-up on roads this morning.
