Even the pandemic won’t stop young Entrepreneurs from starting their own business, according to the County of Renfrew

The county is kicking off its Summer Company Program. It allows students 15-29 years of age to create their own job and learn what it means to be an entrepreneur. The county says those that apply will learn to manage their business finances, build and control an inventory, and learn about marketing, customer service, and other behind the scene details around running a business. Enterprise Renfrew County administers the program on behalf of the government of Ontario. Last year they were able to hand out financial awards totalling 21 thousand dollars to youth who completed the program.

In an effort to maintain physical distancing, the program will be delivered virtually by video conferencing until further notice. Details are on the Enterprise Renfrew County Website.
