The Santa Claus parade is celebrating 50 years in Barry’s Bay.

The annual event is sponsored by the Madawaska Valley Lions Club. It features around 30 floats making their way through downtown Barry’s Bay. The day ends with a meet n’greet with Santa at the Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre with food, music, balloons and more.

Parade Chair Tom Smith says the parade includes everything from floats on wheels to horses and pedestrians.

The parade is starting on Kelly Street Saturday at noon. For event details, click here.
