Turtle Safety Workshops Coming to Area

Presentations to help keep Ontario’s turtle population up are coming to the area.

That’s according to Kelly Wallace, an advocate for turtle safety, who says the presentations will go over the dangers turtles face on roadways, what residents can do to help turtles and what resources are available to do so.

There will also be presentations for children to learn about the different turtle species in Ontario.

There will be 11 presentations in total between March and May including locations in Hastings Highlands, Bancroft, Carlow/Mayo and Faraday.

March 21st: Bancroft Public Library, 6:00pm-7:00pm
March 29th: Carlow/Mayo Public Library, 6:00pm-7:00pm
March 31st: Hastings Highlands Public Library, 12:30pm-1:30pm
April 7th: Carlow/Mayo Public Library, 11:00am-12:00pm
April 11th: Bancroft Public Library, 6:00pm-7:00pm
April 18th: Faraday Community Centre, 6:00pm-9:00pm
April 21st: Hastings Highlands Public Library, 12:30pm-1:30pm
April 25th: Faraday Community Centre, 7:30pm-9:00pm
May 5th: Bancroft Fish and Game Club, 10:00am-11:00am
May 5th: Bancroft Fish and Game Club, 11:15am-12:15pm
May 5th: Bancroft Fish and Game Club, 1:00pm-2:30pm
