The Killaloe OPP is reminding drivers and cyclists to be careful and to share the road.

Constable Phillipe Regamey says the highest incidents of collisions with cyclists don’t happen near highways or major roads, but in intersections.

June is bike month for local health units in Hastings and Renfrew counties, the organizations are working with local police to step up education.

Police say to make sure you’re always wearing proper safety equipment; your bikes are properly equipped with reflectors or lights and to use proper signals when near main roads.
