Hydro One has announced it will hold off on electricity disconnections until June 1st.
This is an extension of Hydro One’s winter relief program, which reconnected over 1,400 customers who have had their power shut off.
Executive Vice President of Customer Care and Corporate Affairs Ferio Pugliese says the company is committed to making changes to ensure all customers are treated fairly.
Prince Edward-Hastings MPP Todd Smith says it’s good to see Hydro One’s doing more to help customers who are in arrears.
Hydro One says it will also be doubling its funding to the United Way’s Low-Income Energy Assistance Program.
