More support is being made available in Renfrew County for women who have been victims of sexual violence.
The Women’s Sexual Assault Centre of Renfrew County Communications Coordinator Jancy Brown says services will be made available for higher-risk victims which are tailored to their needs.
The centre will now be able to travel to less-accessible parts of the county, so the women will not have to travel to the Pembroke office.
Brown says the service is made possible through a provincial grant, and will be offered for the next two years in Arnprior, Beachburg, Cobden, and Golden Lake.
