The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport is has revealed more information for recreational funding in the region.
It’s part of the Ontario150 Infrastructure Program.
Recreation and Community Development Coordinator for Madawaska Valley, Paul Nopper, says the ministry is making recreation funding more accessible.
Nopper says the Community Capital branch of the program is likely where Madawaska Valley will focus its grant applications for projects like a new arena floor and roof.
The meeting was held in Eganville on Friday with over 20 delegates from the region attending the session.
The deadlines for applications vary from early September to late October.
