The Kaminiskeg Area Property Owners Association is ramping up for this weekend’s poker run which will be going towards the local hospital.
Proceeds from this year’s event will going to the digital mammography machine currently within the St. Francis Memorial Hospital in Barry’s Bay.
From KAPOA, Lynne McLean says each year has been more and more successful in terms of fundraising, with over $10,000 raised in 2015.
McLean says this year’s run could finish the funding for the machine and will be looking towards other causes for next year’s event.
It kicks off this Saturday from the Barry’s Bay Public Dock.
