Renfrew decides against voluntary Health Unit merger

There will be no health unit merger for Renfrew district health unit.  

On March 19th it was announced that they would not seek provincial funding to merge with the North Bay Parry Sound District Health unit.  

North Bay Parry sound had voted in favor of the merger,  

According to a RDHU press release “proposing a potential merger to the Ministry of Health requires Board of Health agreement from both merging health units; as such, a voluntary merger proposal will not be submitted to the Ministry of Health and further exploration of voluntary mergers will end”
