We’re preparing to raise money to help people struggling with food insecurity ahead of the weekend.
106.5 Moose FM will be hosting its sixth annual “Spirit of Giving” Radiothon on Friday, December 8th, collecting donations for the Madawaska Valley Food Bank.
“The Food Bank is really looking forward to the Radiothon,” explains President Paul Thompson. “It’s our big fundraising day for the year, so we’re expecting a good day. It’s going to be fun.”
Both food and cash donations will be collected. “We always need items like peanut butter, Kraft Dinner, soup, pasta sauce, tuna fish, those kinds of basic items,” Thompson adds.
We’ll be broadcasting live and collecting donations at Valu-Mart from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and at Metro from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.
