A summer tradition spins back to the area soon.
The Tour de Bonnechere takes place on Sunday, Aug. 27. It brings out cyclists to compete in several races that span in range from 20 to 100 kilometres.
Activities are based out of Legion Field in Eganville.
Those competing in the 100 kilometre Monarch of the Mountain race will need to sign in at 6:15 a.m., with the race starting at 7 a.m.
The 65-km Bonnechere Beauty, has a sign in at 7:15 a.m. with the race starting at 8 a.m.
The 50-km Gravel Grinder has a 7:45 a.m. sign in, with the race starting at 8:30 a.m.
There’s also a more leisurely 20-km course called The Family Cave Coaster. Times for this ride have yet to be announced.
The event also raises funds and awareness of mental health. Among the tour’s partners are Mental Health Services of Renfrew County, North Renfrew Family Services and The Phoenix Centre.
