A summer tradition in our region returns next month.
The Killaloe Craft and Community Fair takes place August 11 to 13.
The event usually brings hundreds of campers and day-trippers to fairgrounds land at 2789 Mountain View Rd.
Fair coordinator Tao Organ says those who come out have a chance to support local vendors, do some family activities and see a full line up of music. The Fair prides itself on bringing in emerging musical talent each year. This year’s headline act is The Great Lake Swimmers.
“It’s all fairly new stuff,” Organ says. “We try to get artists that are doing their own stuff, original music. We try to have at least a few bands that are going to get the dance floor packed. And we try to get a few bands that will appeal to people who are just there to sit on the hill and enjoy the show.”
