During these summer days, Madawaska Valley says everyone should have a chance to enjoy a day at the beach.
The Township has a mobility mat and floatable chair to make the beach at Lakeshore Park more accessible.
The mat allows those on wheelchairs or other mobility devices to get from the road to the water all summer long.
Those who want to use the floatable chair are asked to book it with the Township’s Recreation Department.
These items have been with the Township for a few years now, as part of its efforts to make Madawaska Valley more accessible.
The Township has also recently renovated washrooms at The Railway Station and added ramps to the Station and Madawaska Valley Public Library.
