It is now safe to swim at Lakeshore Beach in Barry’s Bay again.
The Township of Madawaska Valley says they have been given the thumbs up from the Renfrew County District Health Unit to allow swimmers once again at the location. The beach had been closed since August 20th due to bacteria contamination.
This is the second time the beach has been closed this summer. E-coli had been detected in the water around the beach in July.
