The Township of Laurentian Valley is rolling out a contest for Emergency Preparedness Week.
In a release, Mayor Steve Bennet said it is important to be prepared for the first 72 hours of an emergency by having a kit to cover all your needs.
They want residents to arrange a kit and submit a selfie while posing with it.
Winners will receive an emergency digital radio and a solar smartphone charger.
The Office of the Fire Marshall and Emergency Management Ontario is also encouraging everyone to share a selfie on social media with the hashtag prepare your selfie.
