A collision has claimed the life of a resident of Bonnechere Valley.
Killaloe OPP responded to a call around 4 PM on August 11th on Foymount Road near Opeongo Road in the Township of Bonnechere Valley. An investigation showed a pick-up truck was travelling east on Foymount Road, lost control, and rolled over. Renfrew County Paramedics and the Bonnechere Valley Fire Department were on the scene as well. Police closed a portion of Foymount Road for five hours as part of the investigation.
Police say 38-year-old Jasmyn Goulet from Bonnechere Valley was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers, an 11-year-old and a six-year-old from Bonnechere Valley, were transported to hospital with minor injuries. A second six-year-old passenger was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
Killaloe OPP says this is the third fatal collision they have investigated in 2021.
