The Renfrew County District Health Unit says that interest in the flu shot this year has increased.

But they say because of that, there is a limited supply. They say flu shot priority will be given to those who are most vulnerable, such as pregnant women, nursing home residents, or children under 5. The health unit says it also formed a group of health care reps from across the county to make sure the flu shot is distributed equally. You can find a list of places that offer the flu shot here.

Acting Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Robert Cushman, is asking individuals who are not considered priority to have patience while waiting for the shot.
