Pick up Truck Rams Into Pembroke Residence, Say OPP

A person has been arrested in Pembroke after their pickup struck a multi-unit residence.

Upper Ottawa Valley OPP responded to a call around 6:30 PM on Saturday on Nelson Street. The driver fled the scene, but police were able to located the vehicle and arrest the driver. The investigation revealed that someone in the residence had been threatened earlier in the day, but no injuries were reported. A replica firearm was found inside the truck.

A 57 year old from Whitewater Region has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and mischief over 5000 dollars. He also faces charges of failure to comply with a breathalyzer, uttering threats, and failing to remain. He will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on October 6th.
