Long time Laurentian Valley politician Kellard Witt has passed away at the age of 89.
Witt was well known in the area as the last sitting Reeve of Alice and Fraser Township, as well as being the inaugural chairman of the Ottawa Valley Waste Recovery Center Board.
He was instrumental in the amalgamation talks that led to the creation of Laurentian Valley when Stafford-Pembroke and Alice and Fraser joined on January 1, 2000.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and again from 7 to 9 at Malcolm, Deavitt and Binhammer Funeral Home.
