Upper Ottawa Valley OPP is investigating a suspicious fire and are asking the public for help
Police were called to a report of a structure fire on Bissett Creek Road in the township of Head, Clara and Maria. They say that a cottage or hunting-camp structure were destroyed in the blaze. There was no one in the building at the time. Firefighters with the MNRF attended the scene as well. An investigation revealed that someone attempted to break into storage containers on the property.
Evidence shows that a lone male had been on the property shortly after 4 AM, but left moments before the blaze began a half hour later.
