In line with announcements from the provincial and federal government, Ontario SPCA is taking measures to protect volunteers, animals and the public.

The group says they are closing their office until further notice, which include all their animal centres and clinics. They say for urgent or essential services, the public may arrange an appointment at SPCA locations by calling 310-SPCA during regular business hours.
In addition, the volunteer program will be suspended until further notice. The SPCA says they will be in touch with their volunteers as soon as the program resumes. The group says during this time, they will continue to provide care for the animals in their centres.

Ontario SPCA says the health and safety of their visitors, staff, volunteers and animals remains their first priority. The SPCA says it will continue to monitor the situation.
