Fishing in Whitney brings kids and cops together

Tomorrow in Whitney, kids are invited to come out to a fishing derby with law enforcement officers.

The 9^th Annual Kids, Cops and Canadian Tire Fishing Day is partly sponsored by Fishing Forever, with the goal to teach children about fishing, conservation and education projects.

The event is free to children aged 2 to 15, though they must supply their own rods and bait.Any adult looking to help a child must have a valid fishing license.

The derby takes place on Poverty Lake in Whitney from 9:00am to 12:00pm tomorrow.
