Arnprior Taxes Going Up

Arnprior has released its 2016 budget announcing a property tax increase.
Included is a tax hike of almost three percent directed at home owners.
The increase will cover several major projects directed at infrastructure over the next few years.
Resurfacing of Daniel and Havey Streets will cost $1.5 million while phase two of the downtown revitalization program comes with close to a $6 million hit.
Several recreation improvements, pump station upgrades and sidewalk and road repair are also earmarked for money.
