Collisions, Mischief Make Work for Killaloe OPP

Killaloe OPP had a number of accidents to deal with the last two weeks.

A rollover by an SUV on May 27th was reported on Cormac Road in Bonnachere Valley Township. The 34 year old driver from Killaloe was transported to hospital as a precaution. No charges were laid. Friday May 31st a two vehicle rear end collision happened on Bonnechere Street West. A 45 Year Old woman was charged with following too closely, but no injuries were reported. Another driver was charged for failing to stop at a stop sign in a two vehicle accident in Pikwanagan. A 20 year old woman was issued a Provincial Offence Act Notice. Both drivers in the accident sustained minor injuries. In total Killaloe OPP responded to 21 motor vehicle collisions, ten were animal related.

Killaloe OPP responded to a number of mischief cases. A number of vehicles were found with their windows smashed in Algonquin Park on June 2nd and 3rd. Police are reminding the community to keep their valuables hidden in their cars and to lock their car doors. Another charge of mischief was laid near the Rolling Rapids Motel. A 21 year old male from Fort Erie was charged and released on promise to appear in court in Killaloe.

In total, Killaloe OPP received 172 calls for service.
