Environment Canada Issues Freezing Rain Warning

Update: Freezing Rain Warning has ended as of 09:30 AM 04-12-2019)

Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning that is in effect for the morning of Friday April 12.

They say freezing rain could affect the following areas:

  • Barry’s Bay – Killaloe
  • Petawawa – Pembroke – Cobden

They say a period or two of freezing rain is likely this morning before temperatures rise above the zero degree mark, causing a changeover to rain.

Motorists should allow extra time to reach their destination says Environment Canada.

They add that surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
