Serious Single-Car Crash Leaves Two Injured

UPDATE, 10/01: The 72 year old male driving the car has been charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.

Upper Ottawa Valley OPP are investigating a serious crash that left two injured.

The crash happened Thursday afternoon in North Algona-Wilberforce. A car with three people ran off the roadway and stuck a tree on Snodrifters Road.

Upper Ottawa Valley OPP responded to the scene and found a 66 year old female with serious injuries. She was extricated from the car by firefighers by the Bonnechere Valley Fire Department. She was then taken to hospital by an ORNGE Air Ambulance.

Another passenger, a 72 year old man by taken to hospital by paramedics with minor injuries. The other passenger, a 3 year old female, was uninjured.
