Home sales in July around Renfrew County were up this year compared to last.
The Renfrew County Real Estate Board says in its latest report that 157 homes were sold in July, up over 15-percent from last year and the highest total for the month since 2012.
Along with the number of homes sold, the price they sold at also saw a rise of over 13-percent. Last month, homes in Renfrew County on average sold for just over $245,000.
One decrease the report did show was the number of new listings in the county, which at 212 in July is down almost 11-percent from last year. Despite a strong showing in July, total home sales for 2018 are down almost one-percent from the first seven months of 2017.
