UPDATED: Crash at Oxtongue Lake Road closes Hwy. 60 at 127

UPDATE:

Police say two people are dead following the collision, which included two cars and a tour bus without passengers on it.

Huntsville OPP says a car crossed the centre line going head-on with the bus, before flipping and hitting another car. Two people were brought to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while one was airlifted to a Toronto hospital with serious injures. Two others were pronounced dead at the scene. 

Highway 60 has since been reopened going both ways. 

 

A collision at the west end of Algonquin Provincial Park has closed Highway 60 at the 127.

The highway through the park is closed in both directions from Whitney through to Dwight.

There is no reopening time however the Township of South Algonquin is reporting it could be closed for up to six hours.
