Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Madawaska Valley and Killaloe.

The weather agency says the area could see between 30 and 50 millimetres by this afternoon, as an area of rain has stalled over the region while rain will taper off midday.

Residents in low-lying areas are reminded that some minor flooding could be possible.

Environment Canada says it issues rainfall warnings when there is significant rainfall expected.
