Police Searching For Suspect After Leaving RIDE Check

Police are searching for a drive who took off from a RIDE spot check.

Renfrew OPP was conducting RIDE checks Saturday on Bruce Street at Maloney Road in Renfrew. Around 9:15, a man had been stopped but instead of pulling off to the side of the road as instructed, he drove off.

Police patrolled the area searching for the suspect but couldn’t find the vehicle. The car is described as a four-door black Pontiac Grand-Am or G6.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact either Renfrew OPP or Pembroke-Renfrew County Crime Stoppers.
