Eastern OPP Detachments Help in Major Organized Crime Investigation

Eastern OPP detachments took part in a massive organized crime investigation which has led to the arrests of 18 people on over 80 charges being laid.

Police say authorities in Ontario, Quebec and the U-S worked together to investigate the trafficking of guns and drugs along the Highway 401 corridor between Belleville/The Bay of Quinte and the GTA.

Thousands of pills containing fentanyl, along with cocaine, ecstasy, methamphetamines, marijuana plants, firearms and over 150 pounds of actual marijuana were seized as part of the investigation.
