Madawaska Valley Township Offices May Be Getting Greener

The Madawaska Valley Township is looking at making their office building more energy efficient.

The township is also looking at making the Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre more energy efficient, but has decided to move forward with the possibly of having the township offices net-zero retrofitted first because of a looming deadline.

Through Arborus Consulting, the township is applying for the Ontario Municipal GHG Challenge Grant, which has an application deadline of November 14^th.

The township is still exploring options through Arborus to make the Community Centre more energy efficient.
