Police have released the identities of two people killed in a collision on Highway 118 in Highlands East.
Haliburton Highlands OPP says 52-year-old George Eliadis and 42-year-old Shari Williams, both from Uxbridge, were killed on the road on Saturday afternoon. Police say it happened after an eastbound Chrysler PT Cruiser crossed the centre line and hit four of seven westbound motorcycles. Two other people were sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the PT Cruiser was also hurt.
A police investigation into the matter continues. Anyone with information is being asked to call Haliburton Highlands OPP or Crime Stoppers.
