Health Unit Making Stops at Schools to Talk Fentanyl

Our local health unit alongside experts and community partners will be making stops in our Renfrew County Schools next week to talk fentanyl.

The opioid has become a growing problem flagged by local OPP detachments and the Renfrew County and District Health Unit.

It comes as local police and paramedics have recently been equipped with naloxone in the field, a drug used to temporarily reverse the effects of an overdose.

The talks are making stops in Deep River, Pembroke and Arnprior.
