Officers from the Killaloe OPP will be hitting the streets today to help raise funding and support for the Special Olympics.

It’s part of the 30th annual Law Enforcement Torch Run.

Peter Gonzales and Richard Parisien, both students at MVDHS, are headed to the Special Olympics Spring Games next week to compete in basketball and bocce ball.

Other students Michael McCloskey and Lisa Piecarskie competed in the Renfrew County qualifiers.

The event starts at 2:00pm in downtown Barry’s Bay.
